the 6th was treacherous and long for me. i didn't have anything on my calendar. the social butterfly in me was literally dying, and i just couldn't wait for the weekend. holly graduated from UNC's PT school that weekend, and cj came to town too and they stayed at our house. it was nice to have them around, sadly they are officially gone. that saturday i attended a baby shower for kara-that was fun and a housewarming party for my newest friend stephanie on saturday evening.
here we were at lunch after church with some of the youth, brad, cindy, holly, and cj. i had to get some pics of them with their godbaby :)

on sunday after lunch with everyone, my lovely friend sabrina threw me a little birthday party at champps later in the evening. it was so fun! thank you to doss, cindy, holly, maria, boz, sabrina, kimberly, and halsey for coming. this leo sure felt very special!

then i bring you my american idol audition. can we say yucky? i will say that going down there with my sister and her sister in law shauna was an absolute blast. to be away from the kids was a much needed and well deserved time. i didn't sleep too much while away since we were waiting in lines and such. the day of the audition they put everyone in the colesium for the first round. you watch as thousands audition before you and only 30 make it through to the next round-half of them being really bad for TV purposes. michelle and i both nailed our songs, but we had a complete BIA for our judge. the male judge had to pee during our audition, naturally. i am not going to pretend that i wasn't crushed to be rejected, seriously. i don't take rejection of any kind too well, but don't worry i didn't cry or anything. i found solace in that i saw many talented people get turned away. even jordin sparks got turned away at her first audition. but this mama is not doing AI ever again.
here is my sister michelle and chelsia. we saw her while waiting in line outside. she and michelle auditioned for making the band 3 together in DC and both made it through a few rounds. chelsia even made it to the house! it was fun to see her and michelle enjoyed catching up with her. we watched her get turned down at AI too :(

and here is shauna, me, and clayton (we call him hezekiah). by far totally obnoxious and hilarious, and definitely one of the highlights of that day. we made friends with him and his sister and are now keeping on touch on myspace. he was a dollbaby (obviously!).

after getting rejected in charleston for AI, we hauled a$$ to get to brad and cindy's going away party back in NC. i was SO happy i was able to be there-i didn't want to be anywhere else. of course depression has been slipping in as i am about to lose another set of life=long friends. i know we will keep in great touch, we always do...but it still sucks! the party was fun with lots of people and plenty of lap dances to go around (poor shauna!). the cops were even called on us because our music was too loud. the ghetto southern maryland was about to bust out of me, cindy, and her sister in law sandi. it was so hilarious. just a fun night all around :)

that sunday we went to church, and then a ton of us went to cracker barrell for lunch. i said bye to my sister, shauna, and my mother in law who helped watch my kids while i was gone. i then stopped by my neighbors first bday party. i ended the night with a lovely business meeting with cindy and mike from dream dinners. cindy and i hope to open our own franchise possibly when we settle down in MD in a couple years. talking to mike was very helpful since they are the #1 DD in the nation, hmmm, i wonder why. haha. GT :)

i noticed that you made no mention of our triad. i guess you don't consider it a "highlight". whatever!

Mmm, Mike from Dream Dinners.... you better start talent scouting your hot man w/ accent now for your future DD.
hahaha...cindy said we need brian to carry the food out to cars for ladies...i was like "brian's hot?" hahaha. so bad, i know! i mean, of course he is hot to me, i just didn't know if he would be hot to others...
Ok...you could have warned me that my ever so large behind was going to be splashed across your humerous blog!!!! Not the most flattering side of me :)
