7 years!

i know, i have been a slacker blogger. to be honest, since my camera broke i almost feel paralyzed in that i cannot show what i am talking about. i am a visual person and not giving you a visual hurts my soul. so if anyone has a digital camera they want to donate to me, you would heal me.

moving on. brian and i celebrated our 7th anniversary yesterday! they talk about that 7 year itch, and it does come up honestly. we had to work through some serious things this year, which made me appreciate this anniversary more than ever. the fact i have a man who puts up with me is just a miracle in itself!

although we have lived here for 8 years now, we have never been to the angus barn. so we made a reservation and didn't know what to expect-it's in a huge barn! but the experience was lovely. the food was worth every penny...who am i to turn down a bacon-wrapped filet and soft shell crab? brian got the 22 oz (bone-in) prime rib. you basically had to roll us out of there. i think brian secretly loves these dinners out with a bottle of wine. i speak so freely, passionately, emotionally about everything going on in life and how much a love him. i'm sure it makes for wonderful entertainment :)

we left by 8:30pm and were sadly exhausted. we seriously felt 75 years old. and we got to come home to still-awake children with my poor babysitter who said "i think i am going to have a breakdown" as i entered the house. wasn't exactly how i planned to end my night, but that is our reality!

ohhh and gifts. we don't usually make a big to-do about gifts, but this year brian gave me a beautiful silver bracelet (that i would take a pic of and show you but i can't!). i love it-so pretty-so me. and his co-worker helped me surprise him with a ticket to the dallas vs. philly game IN dallas this season! most know that bri is the hugest cowboys fan, while i am the hugest redskins fan. so to give a gift like this is real love. :) i am so excited he gets to go to the new stadium in its inaugural season!

Happy HAPPY anniversary! The Angus Barn is truly awesome though I haven't been since prom. I hope you have many more happy anniversaries to come!
