get your flu shot!

wow-as if my '08 could get any worse so far. i made some yummy chili on monday night, had my girl kelly over. as i was getting ready for bed, i got these horrific chills and my head started burning. brian laid 6 blankets on top of me, my throat was hurting, so i took some leftover pain pills from my csection :) my fever broke in the middle of the night, as i tossed and turned the entire time.

tuesday morning, i could hardly move. brian took chase to preschool, i looked up flu symptoms and realized i had it bad, told a friend i couldn't bring her dinner that night and pretty much don't remember the rest of that day. brian had to take off work because it was like i was in a coma. here it is thursday night, i ate dinner which was my first meal since tuesday. i have lost like 8 pounds from being sick, so at least that is one nice thing. hahaha. my throat is still killing me though. i'm just staying drugged up.

i can't thank god enough for my husband's help during this time and that none of my kids became ill (they had their flu shots!). i am horrible at asking friends for help. i just can't bring myself to do it, so brian always knows what to do. i'm such a lucky gal.

my poor kids put up with watching a lot of TV and a mommy who just literally laid on the couch the entire time. i hope they know that i love them. it's so sweet how young their compassion kicks in. they would stroke my hair or just give me hugs. chase would tell the others to be quiet because i wasn't feeling good. going through that crap alone really sucks, but god had mercy on me by giving me the sweetest family.

oh, and the secret fairy from trianglemommies dropped off a sweet bag of goodies for me to cheer me up. that was beyond sweet and uplifting :) i am sorry if i have been behind on emails, phone calls, etc. i will get back to you soon enough. much love.
