a new do!

so on a shallow note, my sister melanie cut my hair last week. it felt so good to be at her salon, in her presence. ahahaha. she has not cut my hair since march of '07. so so very sad. her awesome friend kayla cut my hair while i was out in san diego earlier this year.

i was so ready for something new. i know i don't look anything like kim kardashian or nicole scherzinger, but i was obsessed with keeping my hair long and classic like them. so mel gave me a new fun cut. with lots of very short layers, and it is so easy to do!

i had to sing at church on sunday and be there by 7:30am. i woke up at 7:23 and was there by 7:40, with it being 12 minutes away. not sure how i pulled that one off! but my bed head was perfect, i just added some hairspray!!!

so thank you to my very talented sister melanie for my new do! i love it!!!!

(now mind you, i have been trying to take pics of the hair, and it is hard to do that without it being bumpy with an arm in the way, etc, so just bear with the dumb pics). the first one was funny because i was starting to trip in the picture, and it is the DUMBEST shot of my face, but it showcases my hair the best. ahahahaha.

You always look gorgeous, but I absolutely LOVE this haircut on you!! So yeah, I'mma need a make-over after baby (plus I'll be 30 soon!)...do you think your sister can cut hair over the internet?? I mean she's obviously talented...

Is it a problem that I find your face in that first picture endlessly amusing? Tears of mirth...

sarah, i know, it is SUCH a bad pic. but i am happy if everyone can get a chuckle. i was making my "don't ram my combee, elephant!' face.

brianne- i'll ask mel about the internet cut! ahahaha. whatever you do, don't wack off all your hair after the baby is born. don't make the "mommy mistake"!!!

What in the world is the "mommy mistake"????? Listen lady, you got something against wacking off your hair???
Hahaha! Just kidding! Look, I have been down all the roads of hair...short, long, in-between, blue, orange, white, and 'normal', but it is all about what you can handle.
And girl, you were born to have long hair- I love the layers, and am thankful you no longer are referring to dnacing on poles when describing your hair :)
Love you!!!
