on a serious note

chase and his best bud caleb at school. chase said the sun was too bright to open his eyes. haha.

today is just funky. you ever have one of those days when you know nothing will ever be the same and life goes on? chase just finished his first year of preschool today. he loved it and his teacher. i tried to take some pics, but it was a little chaotic at the end there. most in his class will not be returning since they are moving away, etc. his class will never be the same-time to move on.

as i pull in from picking chase up from school, i see the huge moving truck packing up my neighbors house. it's terribly sad to me. we didn't hang out all the time or anything, but they were great neighbors and we really enjoyed them. my other neighbors are trying to sell their house too and we adore them. i just get sad at the thought of our neighborhood dynamic having to change. and believe me, since i saw those signs go up, i have been praying over our new potential neighbors. i have been spoiled by my current ones. my neighborhood will never be the same-time to move on.

on TM, i was made aware of ella. here is a beautiful little girl in the triangle who was just diagnosed with an inoperable tumor on her brain stem. her mom doesn't want meals right now-she wants your prayers. please check out her story and lift her up. and let's not forget katherine out in LA. she is making strides like no one could ever imagine. her doctors are calling her a miracle. these lives will never be the same-how do you move on?

i leave for africa in 3 weeks. i get more shots on friday and pick up prescriptions, etc. i have most of the money raised, which is amazing to me. i'm excited, anxious, a little nervous, and full of hope for this trip. i know my life will never be the same. how will i move on and use what i have learned and gained from this trip?

lots of change going on for people i love. i try not to worry-i have to have an unwavering faith.

They are getting so big! I've decided that from now on I can't worry about anything- it's all in God's Hands and it will all work out. Worrying won't change anything! Stay strong!

Can't wait to hear about how your trip goes. I was watching Oprah on Memorial Day...it was about her "O Ambassadors". High school kids that went over to Africa and built a school room for a village...then came back and raised money for a well for clean drinking water. A well, for a whole village is only $5,000. I don't have $5,000 laying around, but it just seemed like such a small price to SAVE LIVES of a village! I cried and cried and vow to one day go and help...do something. I'd love to go when my kids are old enough to go and share that as a family. You'll be forever changed, in a good way...and so will those people! Good for you!

Huh- you have a way of looking at situations that really makes one think. As a person who craves change, the change you are experiencing is both something I haven't yet had to feel, but also those happy/sad moments that can be tough to decipher which feeling "wins". Your faith is amazing, and inspirational, so keep you head up, your heart high, and get ready to CHANGE some lives in a few weeks!! As well as have yours changed forever- in a GREAT way!!! Love you!
