6 years!!!!

well today is mine and brian's 6th wedding anniversary. honestly, it feels WAY longer than that, considering we have 3 kids already and have been dating for almost 12 years. we went to our church's fireproof family retreat this weekend, and it was a really nice way to re-connect as a couple with the family God has given us here in NC.

here are some things that i love about brian (just some of the SO many):
1. i love that he loves the Lord and puts Him first in everything.
2. i love that he loves me, pretty unconditionally. and anyone who knows me can tell you that is a tough job!
3. he is honest.
4. he loves our kiddos and is so hands-on. he has "traditions" like getting those weird juices from the gas station or slurpees and takes them to the park every saturday we are around. i can leave him with the kids for days and he not even flinch. and i don't worry at all.
5. i love his sense of humor. his one liners get me every time. even when i am SO angry about anything or at him, he just has this way to show me that nothing is worth being so mad and can put a smile on my face.
6. i love that he wears what i tell him to wear (most of the time-some high school nightmares still make an appearance if i am not around as he gets dressed).
7. i love his financial wisdom for his job and our family's future.
8. i love that he lets me be me.
9. i love his backrubs.
10. i love his eyes. they are like ribbons of color (so says my friend celine dion).
