drummer boy and big head

so chase is OBSESSED with playing the drums lately. he usually plays the guitar, but it's been all drums for the past couple months. at this very moment, he is making me play "bring me to life" on the WAM page. he is yelling at me to sing along with amy lee, which is hard to do and type at the same time. he is drumming on the daybed with pens, the pillows are arranged as his cymbals. oh he cracks me up and is pretty awesome at staying on beat.

but i am not surprised--i knew when he was in the womb what he would be about, confirmed by many words of others. i hope i am able to help "train" or instill some musical abilities, but mostly a desire for worship. the kid can tell you how to play "mighty to save" and many good charlotte songs from start to finish. he loves it. and he reminds me of my dad which is hilarious (yeah, he's particular!). but i guess when you hear it, you hear it! i am excited to see him grow and to see how the Lord will use him. i am excited to see this with all of my kids. i just can't even begin to imagine what the future holds-it is all very exciting!

then i have my sweet sweet corban. "g-squared" as my father so fondly calls him--it stands for gentle giant (but i think it could stand for george #2 too-haha). corbs had his 18 month check-up today. his weight is 75th percentile, height is 50th percentile, and his head is 90th percentile! awwww! i love his giant head :) poor baby only had to get one shot today, so it wasn't too bad. the doc says he is not too worried about his lack of speech yet. he's been slower to everything else, that this doesn't worry me tooooo much (maybe a little). he'll get there though!

brian's mom and boyfriend came through town last night. we had yummy johnny carino's and had a nice visit. i know the kids love seeing her! i then went to the hospital to see my friend melissa (boz's) twin girls! eleana (pronounced EL.in.ah) and livi. they are fraternal, but looked exactly alike! they are SOOOOO adorable. i was there for 3 hours holding those babies and loved it. of course it makes me want another one!!! boz looked phenomenal and is pretty positive! i think i would be pretty petrified, but she is one tough cookie! i am so happy for her and ryan :)

I always struggle with coming up with clever titles for my blogs, but I think you really took the cake with "drummer boy and big head". Well done.

My boyfriend has a rather "bulbous" head, as we like to refer to it, and it has served him very well for heading balls in soccer and housing tons and tons of super tight curls. Big heads rule.
