kids and compliments

oh kids say the cutest things.....these comments made me blush!

while at home in MD, callie came around the corner and saw her grandpa (brian's dad). grandpa said, "callie, you look just like your daddy!" and everyone started laughing. she looked at him and scrunched her little shoulders up and said, "naaaah, i look just like my mommy!" hey, at least she knows! i love it.

yesterday i was playing the new hillsong united CD while doing some stuff around the house. i am a little obsessed with brooke fraser's new song "you'll come" (and you'll hear it at encounter next week!). but anyway, the song was playing and chase was playing his guitar of the moment, the swiffer sweeper (cindy, you'd be so proud i finally bought one this week).

he pauses and says, "mom, this is you singing right?"
i reply, "oh i wish! this is miss brooke fraser."
"no, mom, this is really you. yes it is!"

well, if he wants to think that, go ahead. i'll take that anyday!!!! brooke has a crazy tone that only God could provide. it's fair to say that i sweat her.

i love my kids, sometimes they are so sweeeeet to me :)
