he's a sweetie

so i was doing the laundry tonight, and as i put in chase's pants, 2 quarters fell out. and it just reminds me of what a sweetie he is. whenever i bring all the kids to the gym with me, it is their treat to get a gumball out of the machine on the way out (well not for corban, i distract him with fruit snacks)!

but the reason i find that so sweet is because he ALWAYS makes sure he has 2 quarters-one for him, and one for callie. chase is an exceptional and generous big brother. sure, there are times he wants what is his, but the majority of the time he is always thinking about one of his siblings first. even at school, if he gets an extra treasure from the box, he picks one for his siblings instead of 2 for himself.

i am grateful for his sweet, protective, and generous heart for his siblings. he makes my heart smile.

That made me tear up! Ok fine, I'll have more than one kid...I'm convinced!

These things called kids are pretty darn neat. Just in the past 7-10 days, Eric (The Elder in my blog) has been coming up to us and giving us hugs and showing affection, unprompted. It's sooo sweet, especially since we know that it's not in his nature (aspergers) to communicate in that way. It's pretty neat to see how they develop and grow and learn from the world around them regardless of how they interact/interpret the world
