i know i am about a week late on this post. been busy. but i still had thoughts on it all, of course!
on tuesday, jan.20th, we actually had snow in NC! school was canceled, brian stayed in from work. it was fun and lovely! the kids had a blast, even though we do not own proper snow gear. it was the pretty, fluffy kind of snow too. but now i am done for the year with snow, hoping we've met our quota! hahaha. not a snow kind of gal ;)
and since we were snowed in, i was able to watch the inauguration for President Obama too. i was excited to see America during this time. my home city of DC was electric, you could just tell. i am thrilled our president line-up is looking more diverse! you know i love that!
i hope he is able to live up to people's expectations.... they are high. in fact, it truly troubles me how much faith people have put in this man. the tears, the worship. it's freaky to me. the theme on all the gear in DC was "born-again American". at tattoo parlors, if you got one done, you could get an obama tattoo for free. i mean, seriously? this man hasn't done anything yet and you want to get him permanently inked on your body?
but i don't put my "faith" in humans. i know there are great leaders out there that have done great things. God appoints our leaders, i believe that! it's funny. i have christian friends on both sides. one side says that Obama is the anti-christ (that there's something shady about him) or God's judgment for us falling away from Him as a nation. my other friends say that God has heard their prayers and cries for justice and has sent us a leader to guide us and restore us to where we should be, to be there for all human kind.
so you use your own discernment. that's all you can do. i'm pretty moderate through it all. i hope he can encourage people to love and take care of others, but yet i won't be putting all my faith in this one man to save us either. (not sure what we need saving or changing from, but we do according to everyone else!)
but history took place. it was beautiful. and i am glad i was able to soak it all in. i am praying for Obama, our nation, and our world!!!

It was pretty cool that both those things happened on the same day.
Some of my Christian friends thought Bill Clinton was the anti-Christ, too. Since when did all things Christian have to be Republican? Funny!
Yay! That's what we did on our snow day. Are there really still people who think Obama is the anti-christ? What?! Come on, give the guy a break!
hahaha, there are some days i think obama is the anti-christ. hahaha! or maybe it's just the purple lips....
