day 7

pics: a night shot of hotel paris on the strip.
me modeling my juicy bag that you can barely see in the ad.
me and my hot man at dinner.

even though i am behind in my vacation blogging, just wanted you to know we are home finally!

day 7, i slept in once again. brian and i had some "time apart" which was needed at that point! he went down to the pool while i watched my soap and did some blogging. i was highly anticipating my friend jeannie's arrival.

originally, brian and i were supposed to drive up the coast of CA and end up in san fran. jeannie is my childhood best friend. she was one of my bridesmaids and really just another sister to me. i have not seen in her in 2 years and was excited that we would be in san fran (where she currently lives) for the weekend of her 30th birthday. well, she was gonna be in vegas! so after much thinking (and begging on her part), we decided to drive to vegas and then fly up to san fran later. it actually saved us money doing it that way! but anyway....i was dying to see her. but we wouldn't until friday.

back to our day, i ended up going to the pool as well and then we hit the hot tub. the breeze was extra chilly, so i enjoyed the hot tub (when normally i never step foot in them). we got dressed after being there all day and had dinner at claim jumper. this is the home of really big food. i had it when i was out in CA 10 years ago and don't remember it being as classy as it was in vegas, but it was a great dinner.

our waiter was nice--aspiring actor. he was in ocean's thirteen next to clooney in the bathroom scene. how fun! hahaha. we had a great dinner and then walked around to some shops. of course i had to stop in the sephora there and got some lip gloss and perfume. you'll see above a juicy ad that my purse was in. of course brian didn't get my purse in the shot, but it was fun just being so dorky. thanks for the purse, mel!

we then rode top-down (meaning our convertible, people!) down the strip. it was fun. they have this great station 88.1 that plays all old school r&b. i was loving it. we wanted to check out the fremont street experience in old downtown las vegas. we drove for a while looking for it, finally found it, tried to park in a garage and got yelled at by the valet, and then noticed the average age of the people hanging out on the street was about 90, so we decided to dip and just head home to bed.

i was waiting for friday!
