pics: cj and holly's preggo belly! i love it!
brian's photojournalism skills. poor stranger.
our dinner at the ethiopian restaurant with the food all gone!
i need to get on the stick and finish blogging my vacation that has been over for a few days now!
after cat napping from 5:30am-7am at the bellagio, we headed over to the airport. we thought no one flies out of vegas on saturday mornings-WRONG. the line to check in was super long, making our luggage late checked by one minute. an obnoxious buzzer goes off too. then the security checkpoint was ridiculous..... we finally got through and ran to our gate right as they were locking the gate. we barely made it on to our plane. but thank goodness we did! san francisco here we come!
we landed about 10:30am and holly was driving around to pick us up. how lovely that southwest had 3 out of our 4 luggages. of course it was my huge suitcase with my life inside that was "lost". so we went to starbucks to kill time to see if it came in on the next flight from vegas. nope. we head to holly and cj's house. it was so good to see them and where they live now. it was nice because it never feels like time passes. they took us to a yummy pizza place called zachary's for some chicago style pizza. we sat and talked (with me in a sleepy daze sadly), but it was fun! we then went to the airport again and finally my luggage was there with a $50 credit voucher! we toured around cj's school, UC berkeley (took pics of the football stadium!). then we had dinner at alec's burgers (something like that, the name is leaving me). yummy avacado burger with garlic fries!
since we were whooped still, we went back to their place and watched "superbad" which gets funnier everytime i see it. oh good times. thanks to brad and cindy, we own our very own copy of it! haha. it was lights out for us, i slept like a baby under every blanket they had in their house.
sadly, i felt myself coming down with something. lack of sleep, the chill of san fran, my stellar eating habits while on vacation, and flying with germs and more germs. but i was still good enough to be out and about!
i slept in until 10am to come out and watch the UNC/clemson game. it's so funny how early games come on over there, but it was awesome! i took my time getting ready after that (i don't think i was capable of moving fast), and we went over to their neighbors house for a nice lunch. their neighbors are so nice and their friends have such cute kids. it made me miss my kids! we had some soul food and it hit the spot. i topped it off with a carrot cake cupcake that literally melted in my mouth! it's good to know our friends have good neighbors watching out for them!
after lunch, we headed to downtown san fran. it was such a pretty day and we did a lot of sightseeing! we checked out the fisherman's wharf and walked our butts off (which is what i needed anyway), and then we drove all throughout the city. brian decided to become a photojournalist and take pics of random people on the street. we saw crooked street, the view from holly's work, and all the neat districts. it was a nice city!!!! we had dinner at an ethiopian restaurant-both first times for me and brian. it was SO good and a little spicy, but i love spicy stuff!
with bellies full, we stopped and got some baskin robbin's ice cream. mmmmmm. we headed home and chilled before bed-we had to be up and ready before 7am to be at the airport. even though it was a short visit, it was so good to just chill with our good friends. we loved seeing san fran too-loved it there! we flew back to baltimore and drove home to our babies at my parent's house. we missed them so much. 11 days is a long time! but every second was worth it!!!!!!!

Glad you had such a good trip :)
Sounds like an Awesome, Awesome trip. But you need to come to Chicago to get real Chicago-style pizza. That's all I'm sayin'.
CJ and Holly look great! Wish we had a chance to get to know them before they had to move. Happy to know Cali is treating them right.
